Helping Smaller Ministries
With encouragement and resources
Build Your Own Website
More and more people check the internet when searching for a new church home. Evangelists, missionaries, and other ministries are enhanced when they have a website where people can learn about their ministries. While a website will not cause your ministry to suddenly grow beyond your wildest dreams, it is becoming more and more necessary for ministries.
Our goal is to provide the services necessary for ministries at prices that can be afforded by all. One ministry came to us because they had been quoted $3500.00 to set up their site and $300.00 per month to host it. This site had some extra needs and we set it up for $100.00 and the hosting cost is $120.00 per year.
We have two web hosting services. The First is Good News Hosting for those who need something easy to use and update. This is designed for small ministries that don't have the time to learn to build a website. At good news hosting we set up the site and teach you how to keep it up to date. If you can use a word processor you can add content, pages, upload pictures, etc. to keep everything up to date.
The second service, Power Web Systems, is for those who have someone who has the time and the knowledge to do everything themselves. Power Web Systems also has a service to allow you to start your own hosting business. This can be a sources of extra income for preachers with small ministries who need to supplement what the church or ministry can pay.
All of our services are designed for small ministries where time and financial resources are limited.

Should your church have a website?
Posted at 12/11/09 - 11:04 PM
The Internet is a powerful tool that churches use to expand their ministry, proclaim the gospel, advertise their church, and touch people. A PUBLICITY TOOL A web site is a publicity tool much like a yellow page or newspaper ad. More than 80% of the new people in your area will search the Internet to find a church. Although a web site will not suddenly make your church double in size it will bring new people into your church. A web site has many advantages over a yellow page ad (although you should have this too). You can put so much more information on a web site and you can communicate the personality of your church. A COMMUNICATIONS TOOL A web site is a great tool for communicating with your church members. You can keep a calendar of upcoming events and activities on your site. You can keep sermon outlines there for your members to review. You can post prayer requests (be careful with this one some may not want too much information available to the public). AN EXTENDED MINISTRY TOOL A web site reaches the entire world, not just your local community. Offering surfers a place to ask questions can be rewarding. Posting articles on various spiritual subjects can be a big help to others. Online Bible studies can help people grow in their faith. CONCLUSION The things that can be done with a church web site are limited only by your imagination. Don't expect a web site to work miracles in your church but do use it as a tool to supplement other tools and ministries.
